House Captain
Persephone Black <3 played by: Cas Griffiths
Persephone is well-known around school for being 'the perfect Slytherin'. This is actually a play on words, considering she is a prefect and in Slytherin. But she also has the inbuilt hate for muggle borns and the cunning, ambitious nature, making her the sterotype. She is known for being awful at potions (having managed to poison her entire potions class with noxious fumes more than once) but being exceptionally good at anything written (ancient runes, Transfiguration etc.) However, her knowlegde of potions recipes is extremely good. She remembers the recipes for several dangerous potions so, although she cannot make them, she is able to instruct someone else on how to do it.
She has a fiery temper that get her in trouble, not just for offensive magic, but she is not above a fist-fight if you say the wrong thing.
However, as her family is very well-known and seemingly determined she be the best, she will try and avoid any kind of thing that may get a letter sent home to her parents. A duel in the forbidden forest is more likely to get her than a fist-fight in the courtyard.
To other Slytherins, however, she is bright and helpful, never afraid to speak her mind or help them with an assignment. It seems her loathing is just for the others.
She has a long term rivalry with (Gerald's character) and (Vanya's character). The reasons for either are not entirely certain (though she seems to loathe Vanya's Character simply for being a Hufflepuff). She is, however, best friend with a Ravenclaw known as Stella Rose Osgood. How the two became friend is uncertain and all that is known is that they have a strange tendancy to giggle their way through transfiguration and whisper a lot.
She comes from the proud house of Black, known for their family motto "Toujours Pur" or Always Pure' in English. The Black family would sooner disown a member than see them support or marry a blood traitor or mudblood. This means it is one of the purest families left, simply because it cuts off anyone that even dares to attempt to sully that name. Her grandparents were Eduardus Limette Black and Isa Hitchens, parents were Irma Burke and Ignitus Black, making her their only child, Persephone Black. She, of course, is a pure blood and very proud of that fact.

Dracunculus Winter Played by: Winter Light
His mother is a pureblood from and old and distinguished Bloodline. However in a moment of madness she fell in love with a halfblood, Alistair Winter and they eloped, muddying the Bloodline. However they split up when he was a toddler due to pressure from her family and subsequently Drac bounced between them for much of his childhood.
His mother was extraordinarily strict on him probably trying to make up for the fact that he was little more than a halfblood, by making him succeed whenever possible. His father however was a lot more easy-going, believing in general equality for all and that he should do whatever made him truly happy. His father remarried another half-blood and had more children, becoming more involved with his new family. Because of this, Drac suffers from a lot of confusion in his identity. He doesn't hate Mudbloods, but he does feel contemptuous of them. He feels very resentful of his five half-siblings, three of whom are squibs, as he *doesn't understand* how someone could possibly love a magic-less child more than him!
Due to this resentfulness he grew more attuned to his mother's belief that halfbloods were scum, which left him with a massive inferiority complex, and he began to resent his father hugely for muddying his bloodline.
His entire upbringing was a confusion of right and wrong. When he was caught torturing an animal as a child, his father's family was horrified. His mother, however, was hardly concerned and just told him to clean up afterwards. As a result, Drac cannot often tell the difference between right and wrong. This of course, landed him in Slytherin, to the confusion of his housemates.
As a person, he is very arrogant and proud of his lineage, despite its flaws. He is known to be to very charming when it suits him, but also has a very cruel and sadistic streak. He is ambitious, exceptionally talented in Charms, Potions and DADA, but struggles with everything else, to his endless frustration.
That said, he can often be very timid when meeting new people and he does desire close friends. He has a softer side, and enjoys writing poetry, drawing and photography... not that he'd ever show his housemates. Or anyone else. Ever.
* His boggart would be an entirely black mirror
* Amoretentia would smell like old books and the musty smell of a dungeon.
* His patronus is a snake and the memory he would use to summon it would be the first time he talked to the family pet, the snake, and the wonderful fuss his mother made over him because of it.
