Head boy
Lathander O'Cofflin <3 played by: Abe Horrocks
Subjects:
Care of Magical Creatures (Acceptable)
Defence Against the Dark Arts (Poor)
Muggle Studies (Dreadful)
Potions (Outstanding)
Alchemy (Exceeds Expectations)
Relations with the Hufflepuffs (if that's cool with the players):
-He tutors Rick Evans in potions, since it's Lathander's specialty (the only thing other than quidditch he's particularly good at), and helps him deal with his anger issues.
-He finds Jenna interesting books for her to read, and they talk potions and muggle studies, Lathanders favourite, but worst, subject.
-He looks up to professor M (who he calls Monty, despite the many corrections he has had), a man with amazing knowledge and skill at potions and everything muggle, and the head of Hufflepuff at that, things Lathander respects greatly.
-And he happily enjoys his CoMC class with professor Fluffy, happily chatting away with her about the animals, charming them the first time they meet (although, he's not particularly good at anything that requires much forethought, as he tends to just rush in head on).
Life goal/career:
Lathander loves muggle studies, despite being terrible at it. He comes from a long line of Hufflepuff wizards and witches, but he's interested in all peoples, especially those he knows nothing about. Sadly, he's not the best at written subjects, and the only thing that's really stayed with him through his 7 years of learning the subject is the muggle idea of a witch: the wise (wo)man of a village, skilled in potions and healing. Lathander finds this hilarious, since "as we all know, a witch is simply a girl wizard! Ha! Ha!" But he aspires to be a witch (he doesn't seem to understand that witches don't exist anymore, seeing as it's 2018, no 1018), helping a muggle village understand the ways of magic. His goal ultimately is to let the muggles and wizards work together in a world of magic and science ("because, why wouldn't we?"), but he is content in spending his life helping individual people.
Personality:
Lathander is a very open and trusting person, so he'll happily tell anything to anyone. Saying that, he isn't a stupid as he may appear: he does intend to look after an entire village's problems, after all. His naïvety is a choice, he prefers to see the world as kind and caring - because if everyone did, wouldn't that make it so? He engages in all kinds of activities (many of which he leads), quidditch captain, headboy, extra-curricular potions, tutoring, head student librarian, committees and groups and teams of all sorts. He wakes up with the sun, eats like a horse (although he wouldn't eat a horse, because horses are nice :c), and boldly (badly) sings in the shower. He does yoga.
Personal history:
Lathander's family was Irish, but moved to Scotland to be closer to Hogwarts. The family are almost all Hufflepuffs, and are known in the school as a line of gifted and caring prefects and headpeople. Lathander doesn't quite live up to the skill at magic his parents have achieved (his mum is a member of the Ministry of Magic working on mental health issues, his father a magical medical doctor), but he makes up for it with his charm, determination, and skill in potions.
He grew up with his family in a wizarding scottish town, and writes to his mum every other Sunday. His family are nurturing, encouraging children to grow how they want to. He was good friends with all the other children and cousins, and the adults adored him. Growing up, he wasn't that bright, but noone was very concerned. They knew he would flourish soon, if at least in quidditch or other sports, since he was very good at those. When he entered Hogwarts, pristine tie and all, his parents started to worry. He was failing or barely passing most of his classes, despite trying his hardest. He was friends with all the teachers and students though, even Slytherins. His barely passed his first 2 years. Then, all of a sudden, he understood potions brilliantly and successfully enrolled in the quidditch team as keeper. His extended family let out a collective sigh of relief. Nearly everyone who meets him ends up liking him, even if they don't mean to. He is good friends with most of his teachers and class-mates, who all admire his work ethics and his friendliness. Over the years he grew more and more competent at potions and quidditch, becoming captain in his 5th year. His other classes he got better at as well, except for Muggle Studies, his true passion. He is loving, and has had 2 girlfriends in his time at Hogwarts, although he never 'did' anything with them, too shy and oblivious. He has been single for a year now, though, and happily agrees to any date that any of the adoring Hufflepuff girls and boys should ask him on (even one with Moaning Myrtle!). None of them have seemed to work out, however - and noone's quite sure whether he realised the guy-dates were actually dates.
* Patronus: A floppy-eared golden retriever (a big shaggy dog). Conjured by the memory of holding his new-born niece.
Mirror of Erised: Lathander sees all his family and friends with him, all laughing together playing a big, messy, happy game of ground-quidditch (quidditch without brooms).
* Boggart: His mother telling him he's a disgrace, a blundering oaf who only knows how to harm.
* Familiar: A rat named Damion Duffenstein.
* Amortentia smell: Orange juice, wet dog, and a salty breeze (ie, the ocean)

Fifth Year
Honey Miele Played by: Jordyn Daniels
The parents of Honey are both pharamacists and it is well-known that she is a Muggleborn. There is a rumor going around school that her parents don't even know she goes to Hogwarts and think she goes to boarding school, but nothing has even been proven.
She had a talent for Herbology and often is willing to sell certain... "Medicinal" herbs to people to relieve stress or pain.
If you've got a problem, she's got a herb for it.
She has an obvious air of intellect about her when it comes to a subject she has an interest in, but seems spacey most of the rest of the time. The teachers only have a fondness for her, due to her sweet disposition.
She is the known friend of Persephone Black, Amelia Lestrange and Jaric Edwards and can often be seen, plotting and scheming with that trio.
To her, Amoretentia would smell like citrus.
Her boggart would be a very small room, surrounding her completely.
No one knows what she would see if she looked into the mirror of Erised. The one time it was covered in class, she did nothing but cry for the rest of the period. Though this was only known to those who followed her out of class.

First Year
Meridel Played by: Tessa Lockhart
Meridel is a daydreamer who once she puts her mind to it is very skilled but it takes a lot to get her to focus on that one thing. She is timid at first, but she will open up quite quickly once someone befriends her. She spends a lot of her time climbing trees and when she thinks she is alone or thinks no one can hear she will sing and ALWAYS gets startled when she realizes there are people listening. She looks up to her older sister and her mother, wishing she could be as talented as they are.
Her mother is a witch, and her father is a muggle. Meridel barely ever talks to her father. Her sister also has magical ability, getting her letter to Hogwarts as well when she reached the age to get in.
* Patronus would be an axolotl, spurred my memories of playing with her sister
* The Amortentia smell would be incesnce, the slight smell of sweat (like when you have been working out), and feijoas
* Boggart would be her sister saying that she hates her.
* Looking in the Mirror of she would see herself as a great witch with her sister and mother incredibly proud of her
She is looking forwards to learning about Care for Magical Creatures, but is a bit worried that she wont be very successful at things like Potions or Defence Against the Dark Arts. She doesnt really know if she will be good at anything though, because she hasn't taken any classes yet. (Being a first year and all)
