Though the gypsies were here a small while, they sent hogsmeade into disarray as produce became sold out in a matter of hours. Though the "merry mary" sold things to the town as well, most grocers are overjoyed at the sales they made over this short period of time and most even took the next day off to collect more supplies in order to properly open. The way of the sale we suppose, and the after affects are still being felt as stores are recovering from the flood of profits from the shopping spree some time ago.
Mid January, tragedy struck hogsmeade as a rabid werewolf terrorized the town, infecting several of its residents. Unfortunately one of the victims did not seek medical attention straight away and took the life of young hogwarts student Georgia Hellsing. Today we have had confirmation that the infected werewolf, a woman who's family were given the right to invoke name suppression, was located hiding within the dark forest by a foraging wizard. Unfortunately the woman was slain in a dual, the foraging wizard was also hurt but is believed to be in stable condition. Our condolences go to those affected by this tragedy, and hope that we can all pull through this horrific event together as a town.
Following the unfortunate passing of Georgia hellsing in January, her parents vowed that they would get justice for what happened to their daughter.
Unfortunately an anonymous from within the ministry has said that the review board has "done their job" and we now know as certain fact that their application to sue the school has been declined. We went over to the hellsing residence to see if we could talk to them about what they had planned if the court hearing was permitted. We could not find either of Georgias parents and did not pry beyond there. The muggle way store is currently promoting a mass gathering for a viewing of a muggle sport called cricket. I don't know what it is but apparently in the world without magic it is a big event. We went to interview the owners of the muggle way but when they explained everything we understood nothing. Though if you are curious and enjoy the idea of watching people use "long paddle like objects to hit a small ball" you should head down. There are live shows being played most days and the possibility of being taught how to actually play! Sounds... interesting?
Hello our loyal readership. Today's paper isn't news related as our past articles have been.
Today is a humble apology from myself and my colleagues here at the WWBW for leaving us leaving you all without news being updated for the past few weeks. The reason we have been unable to work is that our office security was bypassed and our equipment stolen. Pending the investigation by local authorities we could not work, we then had to await the arrival of our spare equipment. Once again from us at the wizarding world bi weekly, we thank you for waiting and we apologize for the gap in time for your all important news. fan club.... spotted with Professor Viktares belongings. may have been sold off for a pretty penny.
Professor Chatto has a little bit of an evil side,
or is it a supernatural side? Despite the mooncalm potion and it's high success rate, pro werewolf execution supporters have taken arms up over the release of the four werewolves detained in late January. Though the identity of these four remain concealed by the ministry of magic, many threats of their painful demise have been made public. Many of the protesters using Georgia Hellsing (the young woman who passed from a savage werewolf attack on the grounds of hogwarts) as a sort of reasoning as to why werewolves should be executed, in many of their signs they use her name, the most common being "how many Georgias must be made?" And "Georgia shouldn't have had to die for their disease"
While the authorities did not comment, Georgias mother and father were sighted amongst the crowds against werewolf execution, stating that "it's not the creatures fault it was attacked and converted sometime in its life, but the school should have been protecting our girl", their attempt at suing the school believed to be in the process of being reviewed, it is speculated that it will be denied a court hearing. The unknown werewolf assailant is still at large. Molly Maddox is rumoured to be the love child of Lavendar Brown and Ron Weasley.
The hair give that away, right ?? Today is a day of mourning for a local animal keeper in hogsmeade. Amanda babbling was believed to be feeding her giant leeches when she dropped her glasses into the tank. As she frantically attempted to catch them she fell into the enclosure and hit her head on a rock where she lay until her partner, George babbling, found her body earlier this afternoon.
